The hotel is just a 10-minute walk from the city centre. Located nearby are restaurants and popular local bars, which offer live music most evenings during the week. Public transport is available from directly in front of the hotel. Barreirinha beach is also in the area along with Teleférico to Monte (cable car) and Balão Panorâmico (hot air balloon service which offers views of the area). In addition, Funchal Airport is 30 km away.

The hotel has 96 non-smoking rooms, which are located on 9 storeys and are reachable by lift. The reception desk in the lobby is staffed round the clock.
